Hold my hand I'm back together with you Piece my face it's a puzzle for you Hold my hands out for gloving like a heavy weight All I've seen no comparison to you I only seem to wake up alone in my head All this time I a swear I've been next to you Under cloak I keep a dagger for you Feel my hands my bones are brittle like you Sinking further than I ever meant to Under waves of my emotional abuse

Applause 04:52
How long Has this been going when on But her lips cracked with a smile And I'm right at home The distance Grows so long till we're all alone Making love to a cigarette And I'm right at home But oh, it's the same thing She stares right through me and she's bound to see When it looks like I'm getting away Then she sees right through me No applause today. How come you never come home? When your days are filled with the lies Of all the places that you've never been And too much time on your hands You've got nothing to lose But the lessons that you learned as a little kid You want it. You can have it. But no applause today

about

The term "indie super-band" doesn't get thrown around much, but that is probably the best way to describe the Chicago band, JD3. A power trio by all definitions, JD3 combines the talents of drummer Jon Chapman, a veteran of the Detroit, MI music scene (Hucklebone, Dirt Road Logic), bassist/vocalist Sam Ross (also known as Al Brookside, a semi-fictional indie pop songwriter), and guitarist/vocalist Jeph Dashbach, a staple on the local acoustic circuit for nearly a decade. The band interweaves elements of each member's former musical identity to create a sound that is new and exciting, seasoned and familiar.
